Introduction about Tanzania’s cassava project:

Tanzania, with abundant products and diligent people, possesses unlimited business opportunities. Many enterprises form a consortium to invest the cassava industrial parks in Tanzania, thus promoting Tanzania’s cassava planting in farms and the large - scale order agriculture. Tanzania’s government will provide the infrastructure, land allocation and policy supports. After the landing of the project, Tanzania’s cassava production will increase from the current 5,000,000 tons/year to 20,000,000 tons/year within 5 years and within 10 years will be 40,000,000 tons/year. When the project is put into full operation, there will be 500,000 more employments to be created, which will completely change the cassava industry layout in Tanzania. The planted cassava and cassava products can not only meet the demands of domestic market, but also be exported to the surrounding market including Chinese market, making Tanzania become the third countries besides Nigeria and Ghana that export cassava to China. The cassava and cassava products can be applied in many fields including food, textile, paper making, and even a great medicinal value. In China, cassava chips are the most demanded products, mainly being used as industrial raw materials to produce alcohol, starch, etc. The company plans to build 4 industrial parks in all over Tanzania and the first one will be in Lindi Province, Tanzania.
