Recently the arrival quantity of sesame is really more than before. And mostly it is the new sesame from Africa. This makes most of the Chinese think that there will be more arrival quantities later. Most of them worry that the sesame price will be reduced again because of the increased arrival quantity. According to what I know, because the sesame price in Africa is increased sharply in a short time, Chinese importers buy less goods, so the arrival sesame quantity from Africa will be limited before February, 2018.
It is sold over 10,000 tons of sesame seeds per week at Qingdao Port since this October. The inventory has been largely reduced compared with the peak inventory before. The inventory risk has been much reduced. Now the total inventory at Tianjin Port and Qingdao Port is less than 45,000 tons, which has been reduced about 70% compared with the same period last year.
